Chris Duggan and his band thank all their loyal fans for all their amazing support and for making 2011 such a great year which included live performances at iconic NYC rock venues such as Cameo Gallery, Pianos, The Delancey, Arlene's Grocery, The Local 269, Lit Lounge, The National Underground, Tammany Hall, Fat Baby, Kenny's Castaway's, Fontana's, Wicked Willy's, Otto's Shrunken Head, The Underscore at Bar East and The Trash Bar and, in November, the release of the single "Live For Today."
2012 is shaping up as another awesome year. Chris and the band were in the recording studio from September 2011 to March 2012. The result is a new Chris Duggan eight song album entitled, "Horizon," released on this website on Friday, May 4, 2012. The sound is exciting, crisp, clear, in-your-face rock and roll. A music-video version of a single from the album, "Live For Today," shot at locations throughout NYC including Rockefeller Center, the New York City Public Library, Central Park, Greenwich Village, the Lower East Side and the Brooklyn waterfront was also released on this website and on Youtube on Friday, May 4, 2012.
The band continues to perform live with upcoming shows at NYC venues including Tammany Hall on May 17; The Trash Bar on May 24; The Local 269 on June 2; and Connolly's Klub on June 22. Band members include Chris Duggan on guitar and vocals; Brent Butler on bass guitar; and Bill Musso on drums and percussion.
After Chris' May graduation from NYU's Clive Davis Institute of Recorded Music, the band will tour the U.S. July-October performing at summer rock festivals and clubs and venues along the way. October-December, the band will resume performing in the NYC area and record a new album. 2013 will begin with a two month European tour.
In January 2012, NYC's Hit Music Station Z-100, named Chris a featured indie artist. His profile appears on their website where "Live For Today" can be streamed. Z-100's website pulls in a daily global audience of some 5 million - the most visited contemporary hit radio website in the world. In addition, Chris and "Live For Today" are featured on Clear Channel's iHeartRadio network website which delivers access to 800+ live radio stations streaming online.
Recently, Chris has been the subject of feature articles in CollegeMagazine.com, "Why NYU & NYC Are Diggin' Chris Duggan" (December 2, 2011); TOMI Magazine, "Indie-Pendent" (September 2011); and Washington Square News, "Tisch Senior Brings Lifelong Passion To Dream School" (November 14, 2011). Writer Sophia Abdelsalam of CollegeMagazine.com noted, "Duggan's music is littered with insane and intricate guitar riffs and bass lines completed with his rock like vocals." These articles are featured in the MEDIA Section of Chris' website cdrocks.com.
Chris Duggan founded the band in 2007. He is a member of The Recording Academy and ASCAP. He has recorded four albums of original songs including "Answers" released in Los Angeles in 2008 during Golden Globe week and "Beacon" released in Los Angeles in 2009 during Academy Awards week.
